Communion Practice
The Bible gives specific guidelines about the Lord's Supper, 1 Cor. 11:27 (p. 1113). Because of these guidelines, we restrict the receiving of the Lord's Supper to: 1. those who have been baptized, and 2. those who have had the scriptural teaching concerning this special gift from God in a confirmation class. You must be a believer in Christ, Heb. 11:6 (p. 1168), be sorry for your sins, Prov. 28:13 (p. 643), believe that with the bread and wine Christ offers His body and blood, 1 Cor. 10:16 (p. 1112), and be willing to forgive those who have sinned against you, Mat. 6:14-15 (p. 938). Confirmation classes are offered to all new members and to all children during their sixth, seventh, and eighth grade years.

We offer both individual and common cup. First the body/bread is given, followed by the individual cup wine/blood. If you so desire, take the individual cup and hold it in plain view until the common cup passes. The clear/white wine is non-alcoholic and available in the individual cup. Blessings: Adults not partaking in communion and children who come for a blessing should cross their arms over their chest to indicate their presence is to receive verbal blessing.
