Welcome to Grace Lutheran in Pensacola, Florida
Jesus said to His disciples after He rose on Easter, "Peace be with you." I love those four words. The disciples' lives that Friday night, Saturday, and early Sunday morning were anything but peaceful. Their lives crumbled when Jesus was arrested; their futures were at stake as well. With Jesus' crucifixion, their hopes and dreams seemed destroyed. But Easter morning brought the disciples peace when Jesus rose. In your loneliness, pain, challenges of raising a family, and business of living, Jesus says, "Peace be with you."
Grace Lutheran Church is a family, a peace-filled family that desires for every guest to come with us to the "upper room" of worship and hear Jesus' words of love, grace, and mercy. I hope that this technical wonder, the Web page, reminds you of the priceless message of God's love shared through His people, and that you will join us on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, ... or any day as we live with a peace that only Jesus can give.

Who
are we?
A Bible based church. We believe the
Bible is the Word of God and the only source of doctrine. A Sacramental
church. We believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are central to our
life together. An active and caring church. We seek to grow dynamic
disciples for Jesus Christ. We love and care for each other and all those
who come to worship here. An outreach oriented church. We seek to reveal
God’s love to all people by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We seek to make His love known to our neighbors and community.
When
are services:
Saturday Night Piano Mass – Saturday 5:30pm, Traditional Worship
Service – Sunday 8:00am, and Praise Service – Sunday 10:30am. Sunday
School is from 9:15am-10:15am.
When
to arrive:
If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up 15
minutes or so early. You'll be welcomed at the door by our greeters who
will give you some information about the church and notices of forthcoming
events.
What
to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an
informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress
up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come as a suited
businessman or Florida casual that is fine with us.
What
to expect:
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a
nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary
of what you can expect at Grace. First of all we aren't super-spiritual
beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly
bunch, if you don't understand something please simply ask. Our aim is
that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or
have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired
by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.
Our
Vision and Mission:
We will reveal God's love to all people and grow dynamic disciples for
Jesus Christ. We will reveal God's love and grow dynamic disciples by
proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the relevant application of
God's Word through our worship and study, our people and ministries, and
our faithfulness and fellowship.
Is
it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives
pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire
to make a positive difference in everything we do.
For
those with disabilities:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church. However our resources are
limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. The Sanctuary,
Fellowship Hall, Kitchen and Toilets are all at ground level and easily
accessible for those using wheelchairs or with other disabilities. If you wish to
discuss specific needs please contact the church office.
We have reserved parking spaces
near the entrance.
