NEW MEMBER CLASS

Starting February 7th at 9:15 AM during the Sunday School hour, a New Member Class will be held for those desiring to join Grace from other religious traditions or transfers from other LCMS congregations, ad a Refresher Class for old Lutheran Christians.  The New Member Class will run for approximately 10 - 12 weeks.  We will meet in one of the classrooms.  For information, please call the Church Office, 850-476-5667.

 LENTEN WORSHIP SCHEDULE

We will hold Noon and 7 PM services on the Lenten Festival Days, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.  Only one mid-week service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, March 3, 10, 17 and 24 at 7 PM.  Wednesday Sermon titles are as follows:

  • February 17, Ash Wednesday, "Life's Better in My Hands, Noon and 7 PM, Imposition of Ashes

  • February 24, 7 PM, "I'm Being True to Myself"

  • March 3, 7 PM, "This is It???"

  • March 10, 7 PM, "How Do You Know Who I Am?"

  • March 17, 7 PM, "How Can I Believe In a God Who Would...?"

  • April 3, Saturday Evening, 5:30 PM, Easter Vigil Service

  • April 4, 6 AM Easter Sunrise Service (place TBA); 7 AM Fellowship Breakfast Buffet - Fellowship Hall; 8:00 AM Easter Festival Worship Service, Communion; 9:15 AM Easter Egg Hunt (No Sunday School); 10 AM Butterfly Release; 10:30 AM Easter Festival Contemporary Worship Service, Communion

Welcome to Grace Lutheran in Pensacola, Florida

Jesus said to His disciples after He rose on Easter, "Peace be with you." I love those four words. The disciples' lives that Friday night, Saturday, and early Sunday morning were anything but peaceful. Their lives crumbled when Jesus was arrested; their futures were at stake as well. With Jesus' crucifixion, their hopes and dreams seemed destroyed. But Easter morning brought the disciples peace when Jesus rose. In your loneliness, pain, challenges of raising a family, and business of living, Jesus says, "Peace be with you."

Grace Lutheran Church is a family, a peace-filled family that desires for every guest to come with us to the "upper room" of worship and hear Jesus' words of love, grace, and mercy. I hope that this technical wonder, the Web page, reminds you of the priceless message of God's love shared through His people, and that you will join us on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, ... or any day as we live with a peace that only Jesus can give.
